Professor Lopez is the author of Theatrical Convention and Audience Response in Early Modern Drama (Cambridge, 2003) and Shakespeare Handbooks: Richard II (Routledge, 2009). He has also published various articles on Shakespeare, early modern drama, and Shakespeare and early modern drama in performance in Shakespeare Quarterly, Studies in English Literature, Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England, Shakespeare Survey, Shakespeare Studies, and Renaissance Drama. He is currently at work on a book-length study of early modern drama not by Shakespeare, and the history of the early modern dramatic canon as it has developed since the eighteenth century.
